I am a budding design engineer, and I really appreciate the time taken to provide the next generation of design engineers with valuable advice!

I am rather curious to know how essential and/or useful artistic ability is to being an automotive design engineer; I understand that this profession involves working with industrial designers and concept art in the initial stages, but will any non-technical drawings be completed by the engineers?

I love this creative aspect of automotive design and would love to implement it in my future engineering work. Thanks!
